This list of equipment and items you'll require to fix the garage door's cables and springs before you start:

 Hammer

 Clamps

Protective gear, such as safety glasses and leather gloves

 Hammer

Wrench set with an adjustable wrench

 Drill

 Locking pliers

 Bars for winding

 Ratchet and socket set

 Lift cables

 Torsion springs

 Bottom brackets

The steps in how to fix the garage door are as following:

Secure the garage door, and loosen the springs that are not broken.

Unwind and remove the springs from the center bracket

Install torsion tube, secure it and take away old springs

Install a new center bearing and left spring

Replace the rollers and cables, lift cables and bottom brackets

Connect wires, tighten drums and thread wires.

We'll look at each of these.

Step 1: Lock the Garage Door and Loosen the Unbroken Springs

In the beginning, you'll need to lock the garage door using the locking pliers. This will prevent any accident that might occur by a garage door not secured.

Then, loosen it with the help of your winding rod. It is then possible to place the spring into the winding cone. Next, loosen the set screws. Take care , as the spring could spin violently as it is released.

Step 2: Disconnect the springs from the Center Bracket

Install the second winding bar into the next hole. It must be placed at a 90-degree angle with one of the bars. After that, remove the first rod winding and turn the spring. This is called"passing-over" motion "passing-over" motion.

Remove the nuts and bolts that are in the cones that are stationary. Next, insert springs into brackets near the end.

Step 3: Install the Torsion Tube and then take out the old springs

The locking pliers are employed to release the screws on the left and right cable drums. Once you have loosen them, you can disconnect the cables.

When you've completed disconnecting the cables in the door, slide the Torsion tube to your right. Then you can take off the cable drum. You can also push the broken spring out of the tube.

Step 4: Install a New Left Spring Bearing and Center Bearing

The first step is to take the spring torsion from the tube and restore it. Remember to ensure that the cone stationary has to align itself with the center bracket at all times in this process. The cable drum may be placed again, and then the torsion bars can be reinserted.

It is necessary to connect the stationary cone on the bracket using the bearing center into the torsion bars.

Step 5: Replace Rollers and Lift Cables.

This is the best moment to replace any worn-out lower brackets, cables or rollers. It is done by attaching the lift cable loop on the new bracket.

Step 6: Attach Tighten Drums to the Cables

Attach the lift cable in the cable slot. It is also necessary to tighten the drums using the pliers. Then, twist the wire, and tighten it as much as you can prior to connecting your set screws.

Check that both sides of the garage doors are securely fastened. The door will open correctly and evenly if this is completed.
